Set is not correct at least as I see it.
Split the two pairs left and right. For each pair to develop 12VDC you'll need them wired positive to negative which they are via the short wire between top and bottom batteries. This is a series wiring.
Next you need to tie the two pairs together at points other than the negative to positive series tie points. That would be top and bottom as pictured which they are. This is the parallel wiring.
Here's the mistake - on the problem battery, the wet one on the bottom left, the cable from the negative terminal to the positive terminal of the battery above it should not be there. With that cable you have added a low resistance short in parallel with the coach load, at least that's what I see and have come up with. And I've been wrong before.

The blue cable in my diagram is the one in question and you probably cooked the lower left battery. What remains of the negative post is pretty ugly.
