  • I looked at a '76 last fall. The owner had put a 502 Caddy motor in it and said he could cruise all day at 85mph with his 30' boat behind. I passed on it.

    The one I like is the GMC that set the speed record a few years back. Alas, someone custom built one from the drawing board up that's faster now, but this was a genuine Motor Home, they coudl sleep in it, and drive it around, it started life as a standard GMC motor home,, and when they got to the Salt Flats for time trials the guy says "This area is for racers, motor homes park over there".. I assume when they hit the finish line at well over 100 MPH the guy who told 'em that was properly impressed.
  • I had a 1975 Glenbrook for about 4 years. Sold it about six years ago. I loved the thing but she was a high maintenance girlfriend. She did go FAST though. I had to watch the speedo to keep from getting above the legal limit.
