  • j-d, thanks for sharing the story. I read the woman wasn't hurt, just shaken up. I like the part where she called her dad first, and only after he told her, she called 9-1-1. Often people call parents before contacting law enforcement.

    I'm a supervisor in a 911 center...
  • Some folks will do anything to keep from being passed.

That should remind us all to pay attention to our rubble when packing up to hit the road. That driver could have been killed. And killing some poor innocent by such a stupid act like not securing stuff absolutely wrecks your Karma, not to mention getting you likely sued into oblivion.
  • Had a recap come off a trailer in Bakersfield and fly over my van years ago. Recently a young local athlete succumbed to injuries when a piece of steel came through the windshield. it was kicked up by another vehicle in front of them. Ladders seem to be the most frequent culprit around these parts.
  • Ouch, That could have ruined, or ended, someone's day.
  • That's just craziness! I'm so glad the driver was unhurt, except for some severely frayed nerves. Lucky thing her reflexes were good enough to duck quickly.
  • Very scary! A few years ago had to dodge two bicycles that had broken loose from a class C motorhome on I70 in Indiana. Still had one strapped to his ladder. People were blowing their horns to get him to stop.
