Bedrom slide topper binding

here's our story...... used the topper extension to shade the window for the first time since we bought the coach a couple of years ago. All was good. Retracted and went on our way. After that, the slide did not want to extend evenly top to bottom so I pushed the top out from inside as it went. I realized that it was the topper binding that was the issue. The flapper stops are NOT engaged; but something is definitely binding and may be worse on the forward end. I have been checking out other posts etc. and am not finding a lot of info on this discontinued Carefree unit. Any help or where to find good diagrams would be greatly appreciated. We will sleep with the slide in for the last few nights of this 2 month trip; I am not disassembling it on the road. Thanks in advance.
