Bedroom slide on drivers side will not open

07 Monaco Dip.. We pulled into our campsite and all the slides came out great, but................. our bedroom slide on the drivers side..
Any ideas what our problem might be? Also the the 12 volt lights on the drivers side by the sofa and dinette quit working.. The fuses look fine
Thanks for any help

  • Thank you to all who replied.. We found a loose wire to the motor that runs the slide..Quick fix..
    Thanks again!!!!!
  • If the motor connector is accessible put a meter on it ck for power while someone operated the s/w. If you have power the motor is the problem. Again depending on accessibility swap motors to get the slides in/out till you can get a replacement.

The good news is that it's obviously an electrical problem, not a mechanical one. Start with the obvious...
    1. Salesman switch is ON,
    2. Fuses check ok with a meter, don't rely on your eyes,
    3. All GFCIs are reset,
    4. All breakers are on, turn the OFF then back ON.
    5. Check the small breakers in your rear panel.
    6. Check the fuse panel in the closet.
    7. Check the small breakers in the front panel.

Hopefully one of the above will solve the problem. If not, let us know what you've done so far to troubleshoot....Dennis

All good, but there is no reason to check any 120 breaker/GFCI or any part of the 120 system at all on a slide problem. Especially if all the other slides operate. Doug

  • From experience, start by verifying power at the fuse and work your way back to drive motor. In our case we got to the motor and there was power there, the motor was burned out and had to be replaced. We were caught with the slide out in a Walmart parking lot :( Coach-net got us a tech who showed me how to manually retract the slide out to get to a service center.
  • Need to verify if the fuses are good. Get a tester and check them. If good then you need to trace back the wires to your converter. Might be a bad connection, torn wire or bad ground.
