No way are they coming in without a warrant. Period.
I would stay in my seat with my hands on the steering wheel.
Wait for the LEO to walk up to the side window and be ready to hand him or her my info.
That is the kind of attitude that would make me suspicious. When suspicious I look for legal and above board ways to figure out why someone is acting that way. Just be friendly. LEOs are very careful and yes a little nervous. We never know what is going to come out of any vehicle. If the LEO wants in, they are going to get in. If you fight it will get worse. It will quickly go from you are right, the cop is wrong to you are headed for jail or worse. I've stopped people before as a courtesy to tell them their tail pipe was dragging and wound up arresting them because they got all froggy for no reason. All cops aren't perfect but most are just trying to do their job and go home.
I can understand what your saying. But many of us do carry. And normal procedure we are told is stay in your seat with hands on the wheel until approached. You sure you want me coming out back to meet you carrying my weapon? Legally and concealed. That's making me real nervous.
