Larger rigs MAY find that a particular campground cannot accommodate them. As long as the rig owner is OK with the possibility of going with campground A instead of campground B, then they are unlikely to have an issue during their RVing future.
If the rig owner is adamant about staying in campground B. then the size of the rig may be an issue.
For me, a smaller rig means I can stay at my preferred campground and campsite in an area that has a dozen campgrounds. With a 26ft or greater, I might not be able to fit into that preferred campground and campsite - so I would have to be flexible enough to allow for that. Personally, I'd rather have a smaller rig and be less flexible. For someone else, they'd rather have the space and be more flexible.
It's just what works best for your wants.
