PD4655V converter, so not a "cheap converter."
So to some degree you are aware what it takes to have battery lasting long time.
But you still recommend battery combiner as good solution for chassis battery charging.
That brings a risk that somebody will take your word on it without checking the rest and will hook up the combiner to cheap converter - boiling the battery as result.
I doubt that was your intention?
Nope. I do not recommend a "battery combiner." You are misrepresenting the product. It is not a "battery combiner." It is a trickle charger. It only allows current to go one direction. Converter to chassis battery. Note that I did NOT say house battery to chassis battery. It is converter to chassis battery. There is no combining of batteries in any way at all. AND, it only allows 5 amps. Not a very good way to "combine" batteries, but a good way to trickle charge one battery.
If someone has a substandard converter and fries their batteries, that is not the fault of the trickle charger. It is the fault of the converter. That is a subject for an entirely different thread. It has no place in this particular discussion.
If someone takes my word for it, that is their issue. I am only making them aware of another (very good) option.
It was, and is, my intention to alert them to a very good product that they can evaluate.
BTW, if someone uses your criteria of never buying any product that the manufacturer "hypes" rather than "educates" they would never buy ANY product.

No AC Power Cord
"Steals" DC power from your RV's house battery charger - No AC wiring or extension cords required!
Here is a quote from their website. Note that they say they are getting power from the converter. They do not claim to be getting power from the other battery bank so they are not "combining" batteries.
You are misrepresenting this product to fit into your preconceived ideas of what it should be, or should not be, rather than what it is. And, this, with having absolutely no experience with at, at all.
If you prefer a good "maintainer", good for you. Go for it. Not everyone needs or wants that. A trickle charger is more than enough for my needs.
