It really does work well for RVs that do not have an oem BIRD.
House batteries are usually deep-charge and owners are aware about monitoring them during charging.
Engine batteries are less forgiving and when you mislead the owner that he is having "charger" or "maintainer" - that might lead to troubles as those batteries usually are never monitored.
