"Kayteg1".....I just couldn't watch you beat this post to death any longer when you are soooo incorrect with your convoluted statements. The Trik-L-Start, Magnum and Zantrex units all do the same thing. These systems use the coaches battery charger (no matter what quality the charger is) to charge the chassis batteries ONLY when the coach batteries are being charged. So it's the coach battery charger using some of the charge dedicated to the coach batteries, to charge the chassis batteries.
They are great systems that are being used by 1000's of RVers whose coaches don't come with a BIRD system, which is the same thing. You're making silly statements about how the chassis batteries should be charged by a separate charger set up for non deep cycle batteries. What charger do you think the BIRD system is using when plugged into shore power to charge the chassis batteries??? Are all the coach manufacturers wrong too???
