Best route, Albany, NY to Burlington, VT

Hello everyone,

Two questions here. First, what is the best way to determine a safe route from point A to point B? Is there a mapping website that takes into consideration length, weight and height of the vehicle to plan a trip?

I will be picking up our 45 foot Holiday Rambler Navigator in Albany, NY and bringing it back home to Burlington VT. Does anyone know the best route to take? We will be planning a stop over in the Lake George area.

Thanks,

  • From Lake George, head south for about 2 miles and get on 149 East..it is a left turn. Follow that to Fort Ann and make a left at the only traffic light in the town. That will put you on Route 4. Follow Route 4 and after you enter Vermont take Exit 1 in Fair Haven. Turn left on Route 22A. Follow that all the way to the end and turn left on Route 7....which will take you to Burlington.

    An alternative...invest in a GPS.
