- LeewhizExplorerCall King Dome and ask them about coverage. I had to have the software updated in my King Dome, and once that was done, I did not have a problem. Ofcourse, you will never get a signal through the trees.
- chuckftboyExplorerI have a KVHon the roof but when trees block the signal, I pull out the trusty Tailgater. Tailgater is simple, just select the state you are in from the on screen menu and it does the rest. with 200 feet of cable, I can alwasys get a clear shot of the sky.

Actually with HD I think I am grabbing five sats. For basic viewing the 101 and 119 get the job done.
OP is asking about DISH, not DirecTV. - dkreuzenExplorerI have had all four types over the years (manual, portable, dome, and Trav'ler). The Trav'ler is the only one that will provide signals from all three satellites at the same time and work with more than one HD receiver at the same time. Other that a something in the way of it, the Trav'ler is the only way to go.
- RayChezExplorerI have the Kingdome and I never have had any problems using it. But you do have to have a clear path to the satellite, no trees blocking. I can get all three of those satellites with no problem at the push of a button.

I understand that my Kingdome MODEL 9760-9762-LP won't work with DISH network to receive Satellite 110, 119 and 129. I know I can buy a portable automatic aiming device, Tailgator or VuQuve? Ideally it would be a solution with the Kingdome short of replacing it. Please share your thoughts.
I know that replacing is not on your list, but in my honest opinion, for the few bucks more it would cost, replacing the dome with a Winegard Trav'ler would be more than worth it. A simple push of a singe button and the Trav'ler will get all three sats very quickly.
Pulling out of storage, setting up the unit, running cable to the coach...then the reverse when you get ready to leave. Your call, but I love my Trav'ler....best investment I've ever done to my mh.

I have to totally agree with Ron. Love my Travler. Beats the heck out of the KVH piece of junk that came with the MH. Also have a Tailgater in my little trailer. Works great too. - Pop-Pop_CExplorer

Don't forget the Winegard Carryout! It's what we use for 110, 119 and 129.
X-2 Have had one for 3 years, works well except of course for trees. - farmer_bootsExplorerI am not sure about the King dome model I have I can check if you like it's what ever was around in 06. In any case I use it for Dish for 110 and 119. I don't think they are HDTV but for the size screen in the camper it works. My biggest complaint is it will only look at one satellite at a time. When I change between 110 and 119 it takes about 5 minutes for the receiver to do whatever receivers do before we get a signal. We don't watch a lot of TV and when we do we stay on a few channels so there is not a lot of surfing resulting in satellite switching.
We have been with DISH for a lot of years when I called them about installing DISH in the camper they sent out a tech to do the install (free of charge) and provided a free receiver (no contract extensions). I would have to double check but the additional receiver only cost us about $5 to $7 a month. So I don't even bother with vacation mode we just leave it on all the time. Great when I need a man cave. - JR45ExplorerI just switched out the MotoSat system for the Winegard Trav'ler 1000. Like lanerd said A simple push of a singe button plus we have the Winegard Carryout when things get a little hard to get the satellites.
