I had a chuck like that and couldn't do the inner tires with it. Got one with the forward end straight instead of angled and no more difficulty.
I have a big $100 AC compressor from Costco, and a $70 12 VDC small one in the motorhome. Have a pressure gauge with the same straight on end and angled back end for the outside wheel.
