If you're into boondocking with a conventional refrigerator, add a few solar panels. We have 4 140W panels and can go indefinitely with the refrig, all lights and heat in 35 degree weather. That's with cloudy to partly cloudy days. We boondock about half the time, but the rig is set up for it. No Hydro-Hot, gas heat and range, we don't leave the satellite TV on for background noise and we don't use the Hughes Net for hours at a time. We just returned from Phoenix and weren't plugged in for 9 nights and never ran the generator. The electric coffee pot worked fine and we had toast for breakfast. Not only that, DW cooked 2 meals in the slow cooker (in the sink) while we were on the road and we had HARD ice cream in the evenings, instead of soup. I only filled the propane once in 30 days.
