I have a 92 van still working well. Bought it new in 1993. A GM. 260 000 km.
It was only in a garage once, at the very end of the extended warranty when it had a whining sound in the rear end. In the last couple of years it got a new heater core, water pump, alternator and serpentine belt, mostly at the hands of my mechanic friend.
It did seem like one thing after another and I doubted the wisdom of all that work.
However, it has now had six months with no trouble and is running very well indeed.
