Big rig parks between Jacksonville and Richmond

I have stayed at Riverbeach Campground several times and it is rustic also.

We found the KOA at Point South to be very poor. Granted it was rainy when we were there last year but our site was really bad rutty and flooded but drained soon after. Will find a different CG this year when we go northward visiting. We do not have a big rig.

Medico, have you driven hwy 209 from Port Jervis to Kingston? Is it a good route and how about Roundout Valley RV in Accord? I was thinking of trying this route in June.

I would go up thru Richmond and go north to 17 and take that over to I 81. Faster adn good roads.

Lots of places to stay. I have stayed at South of the Border. Lots of pull thrus and right off the interstate. You can stop just north of Richmond and use the KOA or go up to Winchester adn stay at Candy Hill.

As mentioned before go straight up I-95 in Richmond to I-64. There is some construction at the upper end of Richmond on I-95 but unless it is rush hour you will hardly notice it.....I don't know where you are going but thats the way to I-64. If you are going to I-81 thats the quickest way.....I travel up through there pretty often but haven't been up for 2-3 weeks now. Probably nothing has changed.

I think you might be disappointed going thru Richmond. The drive from Richmond to Crozet is very boring.

I like RVacation resort in Selma,NC at exit 98, the new owners did a great job fixing it up.....I also go to Country Oaks at exit 1 in Kingsland,Ga...it is 404 miles from Country Oaks to RVacation Resort
There also is a decent one north of Richmond in Ashland, is now a KOA,and has all pull thrus

I always go straight thru Richmond on 95, and have found less traffic on 95 than the by-pass around Richmond...there is maybe a 3 mile section that may get busy, then it's gone...
I also, go up 95 and get off on Va rt 17 up thru Warrenton,Va...this rt is 4 lane divided hwy except for the first 4 miles or so.....to I-66 to I-81...the whole time is maybe an hour and a half....nicer ride than up I-64
From RVacation Resort, up the route above,...I stop at Falling Water C/G in Falling Waters,West Va....all pull thrus...and is 330 miles to there....then it is about 405 miles from there to Mohegan Sun..give or take a mile or two....

Sounds like Green Actes is the place to be. Fun living..... aww you know the rest of that song. Sounds like my first stop for sure. How about 288 vs 15 around Richmond. Its been so many years since I've gone that way.
