He may be a great writer but out of touch with current market.What is your budget?I would not be fixated on just Winnebagos There are several manufactuers out there as good as or better.I would start watching places like ppl.com. I find them cheaper from the North as you go South.

For a 2010 Adventurer 32H on the Ford Chassis (I picked this because it would be the lowest cost one) NADA LOW is $51,900.The one Wildebill posted is on the Workhorse with asking of $57,995. I'd say it's highly unlikely to find one that's clean like new and low miles for under $20K.

Considering you could probably count "RV Authors" on Three Fingers Brown's right hand, he may very well be "One of the most admired RV Authors". I would admire anyone who could carve out a living writing RV books and articles,if that is actually what he does. Finishing second to Secretariat is very respectable, unless it was a two horse race.

Having bought two used Class A winnies over the last six years, all I can say is that, if the "noted author, Bill Myers" claims that like new, six years old Adventurers are waiting for you to grab them up for $20K, his is utterly, totally, and completely FOS. I've looked at hundreds of used rigs, and considered several Adventurers that loosely fit his year and condition range. NONE of these specific units had a NADA LOW VALUE of less than three times his BS $20K claim. That kind of cash is high mileage, previous rental use, class C territory, which is fine for some, but it doesn't buy a high end gas coach from a well regarded manufacturer.

Never heard of the guy and that seems to be a pattern here. Plus, based on the OP's quoted statement regarding finding a rig 6-8 years old for under $20K in the class a Winnebago Adventurer brings to question the author's knowledge, experience and basic research of the subject matter being presented, if the quote is accurate. I don't even think wholesale trade it value would be that low.

45 years in the RV business. WHO is this guy? Is he somebody that is on Good Sam or FMCA publications? IF the post that was printed is from the Internet, it sounds like one of those FAKE headlines that gets you to click a link and then you find the link is either difficult to get to the topic or just a teasor so the Link author gets his money from people who click his link. Doug

Did a simple search. He wrote various RV used books years ago. It appears his LAST book was 2012. Did not find an update since 2012. What IS interesting is, IF his statement about Winne was for 2012 and OLDER, how does that square with the Winne Fiberglass roof edge problems that plagued Winnes back then?
