bit the bullet

Well, we bit the bullet and decided on a MH. We did everything wrong, probably have problems but made a real deal. Bought a 1999 Winnebago Vectra grand tour, just over 5000 miles. Actually traded it for a 2008 TT. I'm sure the salesman was not completely truthfull because hid lips were moving. I'm still really in the dark so I am sure you will see lots of questions. One right off the bat is the TE41309 the build date on the tires? Anyone familiar with this type of MH.
Thanks, Cork

Is that code preceded by a DOT ?? If not, it would not be a date code. Plus the numbering would be all wrong (I think) as there is no 413th week of 09. Look around further and see if you see a code preceded by the DOT letters. The code will only be on one side of the tire and of the 6 tires on my MH, only one had the code facing out.

X2 on the DOT code for a tire made in the 1st week of Jan.2014 would have a date code DOT 0114 first 2 digits are week of year and 2nd 2 are the year/

  • Our first rig was a 97 Winne Vectra Grand Tour and it was pretty much a problem free rig for the four years we owned it. Good luck and enjoy.

Wow 5000 miles on a 1999, that's only 334 miles a year based on 15 years, don't mean to rain on your parade but could there be corrosion issues inside motor and trans..
