Bizarre Electrical Issue: Compartments lock themselves

That thread I posted has a lot of good info. If the part # is truly 151458 on yours, then you can replace with a newer Trimark system and an adaptor harness and it's pretty much plug-and-play (other than the cost.) If its older, then you will have to have a newer unit hardwired by a dealer.

There are no issues running without it; it is just the keyless entry. However, without it plugged in your door panel "Bay lock/unlock" switch probably won't work.
