Black Tank Gate Valve Leak
Came back in from camping last weekend and when trying to dump the tanks, I opened the black tank valve and .......nothing...... I'm thinking "Oh ****..." sorry for the pun :B) ...there's a pyramid. ...

Leaks I have had in the past have been captured by the outside cap. Before replacing the gate valve you might spend some time to insure that the valve is the issue.
With that said - replacing the gate valve isn't that hard and the part is inexpensive - lots of threads on the subject.
