Man!, that makes me sick just thinking about it, really feel for you.
We have been on the road broke down & its not a good feeling at all knowing theres nothing you can do at the moment to finish the trip.
Hole in the pan normally from a rod sticking through it, like maybe a wrist pin got sloppy in the piston, piston finely busted & then what was left of the rod spun around & punched that hole in the oil pan.
If that is the case, engine damage may be great enough that a new engine is needed, because a broken rod can bust the block as well.
Crate engine would be high cost, but you'll know what your getting when shipped in.

Were you by chance in the east Monday around Hagerstown MD on I-81. Reason I ask, was a RV like yours going north with the same paint job & colors, nice looking rig all shined up & I thought it might have been you.
