I'm not sure that it would be noticeable. If the oil was dripping out from the oil pan, it would just disappear in the wind under the coach. The people behind may get an oil spray on their windshield, but he wouldn't see it. If it got on the exhaust system, the heat would quickly burn it up with a little smoke that would probably not be visible in the rear view mirrors or camera. 2 quarts in 100 miles is a slow drip, not a gusher. Once the rod went and poked a big hole in the pan, then you had an oil gusher, that when hitting the hot exhaust, produced a lot of smoke. By then it was too late.
