See above....? He ain't funning...I got that treatment too when we moved from NJ to NC...and it is housed in a heated garage with a full alarm system etc attached to my home...Was going from 1600 to over 3000 for it....I said How come?..I was told that's the way it is....the Progressive person didn't even care....they told me because I moved across state lines the policy would have to be rewritten..OK..I do understand that...but the rates?...give me a break...at least we are RV friendly in NC..where in NJ you can barely find a place to park it or even take your dog to a state park....,
That's a little bit different than "because we can." Were you able to find cheaper insurance in NC? I know some areas are just more expensive than others. Like I've already said, I've had progressive for 12 years now and although my rates have gone up they've only gone up a few percent each year. I see some people claim there's doubled for no reason at all. Why haven't mine doubled for no reason at all? Does Progressive just pick people at random and double their premium for no reason? At least in your case you changed states, so maybe they had a legitimate reason, but why some and not everybody?
