Bolt on bigfoot levelers on an e450 chasis

I'm looking to install a bigfoot system on my Nexus Viper 27v. Does anyone have any experience with the new ford e450 bolt on system they are offering to mount the cylinders? I'm curious about clearances required for outside mounts of the rear cylinders.

  • They did have a contract with a company in Florida. I do not remember the name it was 10 years ago. We had our done at the Plant also but it is only a 3 - 4 hour drive for us. Drove up one day and was home for supper the next day.

I found the Florida company from the Corporate web site. It was mid-state if I remember correctly. Did not offer a free installation but we were only in Florida for a couple of weeks, so the corporate offer and location worked out well for us.
  • Beachsailor: Are you thinking about installing the system yourself?
  • Had them install ours in White Pigeon also...great people, opted for the individual pump per leveler system. Works great on our '06 Phaeton, glad to be without our Atwood Levelegs after 14+ years of annually replacing parts.

We also went to the BigFoot factory in White Pigeo. They had a deal on free installation and discount on the set up. I drove up after work from Peoria, IL area. About 5 hours with traffic...ugh. But, They have 30A hookups in back for overnite stays. I cooked a small meal inside, watched TV, and read a book. Next morning, they had me 100% done within 3.5 hours. I was home before dinner.

Call them. See what they can do.

We got that discount and free installation also. A bit more than a 5 hour drive for us. lol But we had other things we wanted to see in the area, and just made it part of a month long vacation.
We had them install SnapPads also. A great upgrade.

Is this something that you would like to do yourself or have someone do it for you?

  • We went to the BigFoot factory in White Pigeon, Michigan and had ours installed. The owner Bob, is very Knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Why not just call BigFoot and ask?

  • Installing any set of levelers, you need to be careful that they don't hang too low beneath your chassis, otherwise you might drag them on driveway aprons etc.
