Bolting down new toilet, from 4 bolts to 2 bolts.

Old, low rise toilet has 4 bolt flange, the flange is glued in and non-removable. New high rise toilet has 2 bolts and old flange will not work.
I've purchased a new 2 bolt flange with a removable bolt holder. Do you think I can screw a new bolt holder to an old flange and get a good seal? Any other ideas or options are welcome.
Unfortunately, we had no idea the bolt system was different when we bought the toilet.

  • All 3 replies are good information. I didn't know there was an adapter. I knew I'd get good suggestions on the Forum. Thanks
  • Are you sure its glued?

Take a hammer and punch or screwdriver and see if it will not unscrew.
  • There is an adaptor you can buy to convert to two bolt setup. Check with www.pplmotorhomes.com part department or a local RV supply store.
  • might look under the flr see if you could cut the pipe and retro fit new fitings.
