We had an 01 HR Ambassador on the R4R chassis, and it experienced a recall before we purchased in 02. It was because of the Bosch Calipers used from the factory and the overheating. It was determined that the Phenolic pistons were not keeping the proper shape and not releasing completely after use, thus overheating the brake caliper. HR replaced all calipers, pads, rotors, bearings and other related parts on all four corners. This setup was air over hydraulic and worked well. We had one of the replaced calipers freeze up in 05, and they found replacements with stainless pistons for the two fronts and all was good. Hope this may help. Happy Trails Bert
