Bounder 1995 34A Gas

I think my fuel/gas has turned. It has been about 8 months since I put the present fuel in the tank. I did add red stable but because of a series of health issues we have not been able to go out in the RV, just start it in the storage yard each month. I have about 50 gallons in the tank. It will run when I spray starter fluid into the carburetor but dies when the starter fluid is burnt up. It is in our RV storage yard. I think my choices are to add an additive if there are any users out here who have had success with bringing that much fuel back to life. My other choice is to find someone to pump the tank dry and then add fresh fuel and see if it starts. Thanks for suggestions, you members have been a great help a few times in the past. This happened one time before and when I sprayed the starter fluid into the carburetor the RV ran on its own. I have read on here that red stable does not work with etenol based gas. Thanks.

Will it start if you pump the gas pedal like a carborated engine? Also if you spray starting fluid into the air intake will it start and run on its own or just die once you stop spraying?
  • It will not try to start when I pump the gas pedal, it will start as I spray starter fluid in the intake but dies when I stop spraying.

Sounds like a fuel pump. Don't be fooled by a pressure test alone it may have the correct pressure but not be able to pump the correct volume of fuel. Has the fuel pump ever been changed? How many miles on the current pump? Your fuel filter for the engine has nothing to do with your generator, it has its own separate filter. If you haven't changed the engine filter in a while you can do that first.
