bounder 1998 no tail or running lights,

Have check for all fuses. Husband put up two top running lights. Now no tail or running lights..breaks work headlights work. Tried to hook up lights for dolly. And they worked but left side. It's a a 4 to 4 wire system.. now the dolly don't light neither.. got under dash for fuses. They all look good. Under hood on RV look good .. is there something we didn't check...some magical place . Just bought but we are on the road. In RV park.any suggestions. Thanks

  • Morning,
Your two browns are for parking/ tail lights, green is right turn signal, yellow is left turn, white is ground
  • Ours is gas.. for some reason it is a 4 to 4 plug but there are 5 wires.. 2 brown,1 yellow, green, white. I got the right side to work but not the left I think it is something to do with the extra brown wire.. I put both to gather. Then only one switched each one no luck. Each brown comes from trailer. Yellow and brown and green and brown.. that is why I thought it was for each brown to gather. Can I eliminate the browns.if white is ground. What is hot.. there is a ground on trailer up by the ball..

We have a 98 (gas) Bounder, and had this problem the first time we towed. It WAS the ground to the light wiring.

  • Probably wired backwards and have positive grounded. May have a breaker under hood instead of a fuse.
