2012 bounder scare light

Just bought a 2012 34 foot Bounder that has a large round light at the rear on the drivers side. Switch is not by the bed where I thought it would be. Might be on the dash and bulb burned out but any ideas welcome.
  • While some refer to that light as a scare light its not meant to scare anyone or anything so putting a switch by the bed would serve no purpose. The light is to help when hooking up after dark so the dash switch makes the most logical place to install it and why its over the wet bay.

Thanks for the help, we have that switch so the bulb must be burned out.

    Should be a 1141 bulb
  • Switch on dash marked "utility light".
Turns on both, under hood light and the light you referenced.

  • It is on the dash. Look for a switch with a circle with light rays shining down.

Who comes up with the stupid drawing?
  • On the back? Could be someone installed it to help with backing in at night or for light when hitching/unhitching toad.
Try putting the rig in reverse and see if that turns it on and then try changing the bulb while blindly trying switches.
