Bounder "Classic" Info.....

Hi all. Saw a '14 Bounder Classic today, it looked pretty good. I was wondering what type of problems Bounder owners are having. Noises, rattles, repair problems, or any driving issues. Is this a rig worthy of consideration. Has there been any issues with warranty repairs? We saw some nice rigs at Lamesa rv in Sanford, Fl. Have any owners had or have any experience, good or bad, with this dealer?

Same chassis as the more expensive rigs. We have gas version. No problem with the v10 although we did cheap handling fix and a five star tune. Pulls our wrangler with no problems. No solid counters but we can upgrade those later. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was but I also liked the Winnebago just a little better. They changed hands recently, since 2008 and I looked at the 31R or T and was impressed. The DW looked at the Thor Vegas and comparing the two, a 26' on a 350 chassis and the 31' Classic, I would choose the Classic.

Overall size aside, I don't buy the claim of 13 MPG and better for the 350 based Vegas over the usual 6 to 8 on the 450 based Classic and would buy one if I had the money. They are out the door for about the same price.

I took the list of standard features of the Vegas, 31' Classic and my 1990 Bounder and it is amazing how well furnished the Classic is for basically the same price. The Winnie Vistas are also what I think are bargains.

So if you really like the Bounder floor plan and features, in my opinion they are a real bargain.

We bought it with 1200 miles on it. We have experienced a few very minor problems and one big one. We lost all electric because of a short and had to have the power supply rewired. The minor problems are the normal things you see on motorhomes. Cabinet finishes, minor leak in the slide seal during a heavy rain, propane alarm.

None of these were terrible and were easily fixed. We have put over 10,000 miles on our 36R and are very happy with it. We did remove the couch and put in home theater seats.

We would consider another Bounder again if we were looking for another coach.

The caller promised that a 'higher up' would be in touch with us soon.
