Brake Calipers

I have a 1998 pace arrow on a 97 F53 chassis. Will F250 calipers fit on my chassis? I'm looking to buy some at a local parts store,They seem to look at you crazy when you say F53..Thanks
  • NAPA HAS THE calipers FOR A 97

They also have rebuilt for less money
  • You won't find parts for a 1998 Ford F53 chassis. Ford ran the 1997 model through 1998 and skipped the 1998 designation. In the 1999 model year the 460 was replaced with the 6.8 liter V10.

There is also no 2005 model year F53 chassis. They ran the 2004 model (310 hp V10 with 4R100 transmission) until Jan 1 of 2006. They skipped the 2005 model year designation and went to the 2006 model designation when they introduced the 362 hp (3 valve per cylinder) V10 and 5R110 transmission package on Jan 1 2006.

On most brake calipers, there is a number that is cast in to the side of the caliper. Go under the coach and get the numbers, front and back, and then do an online search for your calipers. You may find that they are the same as the F250, or not. At least with the numbers, then you can make sure that the calipers you get will work.
  • I couldn't find parts for a 98, double check to make sure your chassis is either a '97 or '98. Then go to Napa.com or Rockauto.com
