What chassis? The brake recall was only on the W series chassis and was completed several years ago. The P series, and actually any RV chassis, can suffer from sticking calipers if the vehicle has sat unused and the caliper slides have not been lubricated. Also the brake fluid needs to be flushed every few years since it absorbs moisture and it will boil at a much lower temperature than pure brake fluid.
Any medium to large truck service facility should be able to flush your brake system and lubricate your slides. They will probably be cheaper and more experienced with brakes than most RV shops. Here is a list of service centers in the Alabama area. RV service centers
99% of the time when the pins become so rusted that the caliper wont slide it simply wears the pistion side pad at a much faster rate
but not over heat.It may cause some extra heat from the lost braking power of losing the brake effect from the outter pad not applying
