If you really want good brakes, its well worth dropping in a new take-off axle. Besides the much bigger brakes, it'll also net you a better sway bar design, better radius arm design, and all new bigger ball joints. It was the best upgrade I've done, and barely cost more than a full brake job, and much less than a full ball-joint job.
BTW: Where would you get such cheap take-off suspension parts? Places like Quigley?
Are all the frame mounting points identical between 2007 & 2008 that the axles, control arms, brake & E-brake lines, and all the rest are interchangeable? What about the drive shaft?
Or do you change only the steering knuckle and rear brake mounts to make the brake switch?
