I had my recall done in '09 and have had no problem since. It is still required to flush your brake fluid every 2 years, even after the recall. I just had mine done a couple weeks ago. When they did the recall it was also a good time for a total flush of the brake system because the entire system has to be bled when reassembled. The recall includes enough new fluid to flush most of the brake system and an extra quart will not cost very much money. The recall will include 4 new calipers but not new pads. If you are due for pad replacement this would be the time to do it also. They have to remove the old pads and it shouldn't take any additional labor to put new ones in rather than the old ones. The reason for the flushing of brake lines is to eliminate moisture that builds up in the system. When you get the brake fluid hot from a dragging brake or excess use you can cause moisture to boil. You can compress water vapor but not a fluid so there is your brake fade problem. Moisture will also cause corrosion in the rest of the brake system. If you go to the Workhorse website and enter your VIN you can find all of the details on your chassis.
