Yeah, I'm "old school"!
If you're doing it yourself and got more time then money, sure. If you're spending $120/hr in a shop, then it doesn't add up.
If it's an older Ford F53 then as I remember the recommended maintenance is slide pins get lubricated once a year and fluid changed every two years based on extreme use (i.e. MH)
