Being 72 I found that an Electric Scooter Lift similar to this one made loading much easier. For tying down your scooter do not use the tie down straps that automatically retract. As you hit bumps on the road they will keep shortening up and may pull the scooter over at an angle. I am in the process of switching to cam lock types that hold their setting but are easier to operate than the ratcheting type. If your scooter blocks your license plate you will need to relocate it. I actually took a receiver hitch scooter carrier and modified it to work with the electric lift mechanism.
