Thanks to all.
It was a loose connection after all. Somewhere between the extension cord, the adapter and the RV electrical cable.
I decided to trace it from the source and checked each connection with a hair dryer. Disconnected the extension cord; checked that power was there; plugged it back in and I have power to all my electrical outlets.
Assume someone must have walked over the extension and jarred it loose enough to disconnect.
Just reinforces the idea to check the simple things first before considering that we may have a disaster on our hands.
