"Bubbling"exterior side sections separation causing pockets

[img] [/img]

1993 Winnie Itasca Sunrise. Last couple days .. i noticed a couple areas that the siding is bubbling.. one area is above the hot water heater door to bottom of window... and two others near the Heater door and fridge panel..
I took pictures and am trying to add them..

Any help on how to stop these from getting worse.. what I should do .. is it related to heat? the water heater always has worked... but i just had the heater serviced and got it working...

Thanks for pic help..
  • Without seeing pics, it sounds like delamination due to water intrusion in the area.

Click on expand in my 2 posts and it will open pics
  • That definitely looks like delamination. It indicates that water is getting in behind the fiberglass somehow. It's tough sometimes to figure out where it's getting in but that window would be the first thing I checked. Are the windows caulked properly? That happened to me on a 5er that I owned. No one told me that I should check the running lights for leaks. I resealed the roof every year but never checked them. I had to have the whole rear wall replaced. The insurance paid for the lions share of it so I let them do it. If I had to pay I probably would have torn it all down to the back of the fiberglass and replaced it all the best I could by myself. I'm sorry that you are going through this. It can be frustrating. Good luck.

Looks like a water leak from the window. Stop the water leaks... good luck.
  • Plain and simple. You have a water leak.
Unfortunately the damage has been done to your wall. Delaminations are
very hard to repair, however, yours does not look too bad yet.
