If I was really interest in selling it, I would make the two hour trip when it was convenient. Two hours shouldn't be a big deal for him either if he's really interested in it. You could agree to a reimbursement of $500 worth of repairs, but (in assuming you would come off of your asking price a little) lower it $500 less than you might of. Other than that, it's as is where is.
This is sort of like some house buyers when they get house inspection report think everything has to be fixed after the house inspector listed everything possible to impress them with the inspection he did. They're buying a used unit. Unless it's a safety or code issue, it's again an as is where is sale.
In two weeks he could take a two week vacation in it and of course find things wrong with it.
