Buying 2015 Road Trek or Airstream Interstat

Anybody have an idea of how much of a discount I should be looking for on either Road Trek or Interstate,2015 model?.MSRP dealers are showing is about 150K.On my purchases of Class A's in the past,I could expect 25-30%.But there was more $'s involved.

This is very true. Thor has the Interstate priced to make people think they are getting something special. A perception rather than reality.

I'm definitely not a Roadtrek pusher, especially after seeing what fellow B'ers I know have gotten quality wise in their units, but it's a better "value" than the Interstates for sure.

The best value in a Sprinter B is the Winnebago ERA as far as I'm concerned. Best quality I've ever seen is the Advanced RV's. Although they are hard to get
  • Van City in St. Louis is an excellent firm, they have all the brands so you can compare features easier, I prefer the Pleasure-Way units myself.
  • The Interstate is probably the least attractive B out there from a value perspective.

Not much technology incorporated, yet priced like they do. Just to compare, you can basically get an E-Trek for what Airstream wants for their van.
  • Thanks for the info.I watched a you tube video on Advanced but didn't get beyond the interview.I will try to find out more from the internet. What a great resource RV.NET is.
  • Talk to Dan Dwyer at Van City RV in St. Louis, they will fly you up there to pick up a Class B. Tell him you want the RV.Net discount.

  • Agree with mlts22. With Interstate's pricing structures you are into Advanced RV's territory, which are MUCH, MUCH higher quality coaches than either of your choices, (especially the RT).
I just got to see and spend some time in AdvancedRV's latest owner's coach, Alvar. Wow, it is nice!
  • You will pay closer to MSRP on a "B" than you would on other RV types. The main reason for this is that the resale value is higher (ten year old T1N "B"s are still selling in the high 50s/low 60s, and they were bought for about $10,000 more on average.) I'd say at best, 15-20% off, if lucky.

Have you considered other brands? Once you get to Interstate-level pricing, you are definitely in Advanced RV territory, and you should see what they can do for custom work.
