buying a 2008 Travel Supreme Class A

My husband is looking at a 2008 Class A Travel Supreme and we were wondering if buying from a company that is no longer in business would be a mistake?

  • I have owned a 2007 Travel Supreme Select 45' for five years. One great coach. Paul Conley at Precision Paint repair facility in Bremen, IN, will repair anything you will ever need. He was a foreman in the Travel Supreme factory, some of his employees also were employed by Travel Supreme factory. They know Travel Supreme and Entegra Coaches. This is the only facility I take my coach to for anything of importance. I had a loveseat removed and a desk built to match the interior as the original that Travel Supreme installed as new. Great folks outstanding quality work. I have an appoint later this month for a slideout adjustment. You will also like visiting the Amish businesses in the area.
  • I believe you'll be happy with a TS (then again I'm a bit bias). If you do make the purchase, in addition to this forum you'll find plenty of happy owners with a large knowledge base on the iRV2 TS Owners Group:

We have one and it is really no difference today than when they were in Business - Just call Entegra and the same people will give you the help you need.

Love the Coach and the custom build made it just right for US.

If a good deal don't hesitate,

  • I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Great coach for sure. Also keep in mind TS didn't completely go away, the assets were purchased by Jayco and turned into the Entegra line of MHs.

Now Jayco has been bought by Thor I'd feel a lot more comfortable buying a used Travel Supreme than taking my chances on how Thor was going to screw up the line in the future.

    Enjoy your new MH. :B
  • Thank you all for your humble opinions, that's kind of what we were thinking!
  • I would have no problem buying an orphan. Especially a quality built Travel Supreme.

Travel Supremes were a quality product, especially compared to other manufactures active at the same time (2008) The chassis (frame, suspension, etc} was made by spartan. Spartan still makes chassis for rv and other uses. All of the appliances, stove, sink, furnace, water pump, water tanks, air conditioners, etc were made by someone else, and probably still do. The engine and transmission were made by someone else. So what did the manufacture make. Well they put all of the parts together and built the walls, floor, roof, and both end caps. SO get into a wreck and you might not be able to get a replacement end cap. But then again you might not be able to get an end cap from any other company making rvs in 2008. Travel supreme is a top notch coach so if you like the interior, exterior looks, and it is in good condition do not be afraid of this orphan coach. Yes I own one and really like it, have for 10 years.

This is your answer. We had a Travel Supreme 5th wheel and it was awesome. It was a very small company doing custom builds. Many of the employees went over to Newmar. (We had a Newmar, too) :)

  • I don't think so. (JMHO)
They were excellent motorhomes, most parts for maintenance are available and if it is a 'good deal' to you, then go for it!!
