If what you want is no slideouts, don't worry about someone else's preferences. I have two, I know what they do for me, but would rather not have the openings in the structure, the extra weight, or need to open the slides to use the RV. My next RV will likely not have slides.
One can argue that a RV without slideout rooms is hard to sell, but the Hurricane 30Q, from late '90s to the RV industry collapse with recession, was one of the best selling single A gasser models, because it was a great value for the size. Pay attention to weights, because earlier examples were built on some low GVWR chassis models, and might be as light on carrying capacity as a class C, particularly if you are planning to carry a lot of passengers.
