I have been looking for a used C or B+ for about a year now. I dont have any experience with MH but have put more than a few miles on a travel trailer. The trailer was fine as long as there were 2 of us but now that I am alone I worry about the times we got into tight spaces with 45 ft of hinged vehicle and 1 person would not have been able to get it out. So that gets me to my point and question, I am interested in a smaller unit like the 23A or similar and am wondering if the big three will let you rent the unit you are interested in and give you a credit if you buy that unit. It seems like it would be a good way to check out weather I could handle it and learn about any problems with the MH at the same time.
Cruise America used to have a program (during winter when sales are slow???) that rental price would be deducted from purchase price. Don't know if still going. From their cite...
Traveling through Arizona? Motorhomes are the way to go! Unlike some RV dealers, Phoenix-based Cruise America allows you to try before you buy.http://www.cruiseamerica.com/destinations/rv-dealers-phoenix.aspx
I would sent Corp at message and ask them.
IMO just like buying anything used, not all are the same. When we were looking to buy we went back 3 times when "new" units came in sales guy called us and we went to inspect them and found one that passed our inspection. Saw a couple units that had been abused and saw couple that looked to be perfect.
(edit part) answer to "try before you buy" in above post.
