While wizard is looking for that list (I too am interested in it) one question came to mind...
How long do you folks stay out on the road with lets say your 28A?
I think Gotsmart lives in his fulltime while Kristin in Connecticut goes out for a week or so in winnie with her family to go to run marathons...
But was thinking my wife may stand a couple of weeks and then want the comforts of home. So out for 2-3 weeks then back home for a couple and then backout...
What do you owners of these former rental units do?
I guess as long as you can dump tanks and replenish water and food its indefinite, but was curious as there is not a lot of storage for clothes and you would have to find laundromats... so am curious what the real owners of these used rental class Cs do?
Well, for the next month or more my parents will be using ours full time. They're campground hosts up here in CT for the summer and got into an accident on the way up from Florida (they were soooo close!) Anyway, they are fine but their rig is smacked up and is in the shop, and will be for probably a while so they're using ours for the time being. My dad is a certified RV tech (his post-corporate pre-retirement career) and so far really likes our rig. They've been in it a week now. While we have less storage than their class A, they have been surprised at how much storage we have.
They don't have washer and dryer in their A, and they don't mind using laundromats, so they don't miss anything landry-wise in ours. If we were to full time, however, I'd want washer and dryer. But I think a lot of that comes from our running...we do a lot of hand washing of our gear because nobody wants that funky stuff sitting around for days! Yuck-o!
I will add that the most we've done is a two-weeker in ours. We did two weeks in our TT and spent a night mid-trip in a hotel and were glad for it. But after 2 weeks in the C both DH and I were ready to stay out longer. Our TT was a 23 footer and our C is a 31 footer with a slide. I think the extra space really helps!
