Privacy laws have nothing to do with it,El Monte RVs policy is to give that info out with each of their units that are sold.
Also included in the records that I was given are any repairs or replacement to any thing in the "house" part.One example on mine,it showed that the water pump was replaced, when and at what mileage,this was nice to know.
As for the recalls that were performed or not,it is easy to find out.
Just take your VIN # to a dealership and have them run it.That is what I did and found all recalls and service bulletins that were put out for that Chassis and if they were performed or not,which they were.
A good way to make sure that you get any recalls is to register it with the MFG as a new owner. I did this with Chevrolet and they sent me a letter thanking me and as the new owner I would get anything that pertained to my Vehicle.
