I did find this at CruiseAmerica
http://www.cruiseamerica.com/buy/buyers_resources/powertrain_protection.aspx
It states $1650 for 5 year/100,000 miles
Hope that is 100,000 miles after purchase. ;)
They probably figure that since the average Class C owner puts something like 5,000-6,000 miles on a year, they are only going to have to cover 25,000-30,000 miles. I'm not saying it's a ripoff. I'm only saying to look at your intended usage.
I'd probably keep it 2 years at most. I just replaced the engine in my conversion van at a cost of $3400, and the tranny fixed for $900. If I'm buying an RV with 144,000 miles it seems a $1600 warranty isn't a bad idea. Looking at as and reading the forums make me think RVs are overloaded and experience frequent powertrain problems.
