Heh - that confused me until I realized that I hadn't updated my profile. I moved approx 1K miles east to hilly country :-)
On another note - does anyone with a 28A (or similar) have any experience altering out the entry steps for ones with a much lower lift? My wife can't manage the high lift steps that are integral to the body. I can think of a few ways to improve things but none of the ideas I've had so far are terribly impressive.
I have a 27G, very similar to the 28A, the built-in recessed step of the CA Majestic's is nice in that it's non-mechanical and not going to break, but just a pinch high, especially for one of our old small dogs, and me with a reconstructed (ACL) knee that's tight after a long mountain bike ride, or especially when you're carrying something in both hands and can't grab the bar to pull up.
So I just bought this folding step on sale (~$69), bright yellow so you see it, wide and stable, and very solid, grated so rocks and dirt fall off before you step in and therefore less dirt inside the RV, anti-slip grip tape on it is very nice. Nothing to repair, or hit it on something while driving. Cons... you have to remember to pick it up and store in the RV while on the road.

BONUS: I use it as sitting stool while adding air in the tires or working on my wireless tire pressure sensors.
Here's my 27G, before I installed the RV door window/shade, see about page 98 of this blog, it shows the integrated step of the Majestic's line of RV's.
