MtnBikeMarty - that's a good idea. Both the step and the engineer. I'm getting mine from the Denver office but I'm sure that there's someone in the locale that will supply a similar service.
Thanks
No prob, good luck with buy, keep us all posted how it goes.
We had rented a 28A for a week about 6 months before I bought and was originally thinking buying a new class A RV, but thought the rental was solid, and CA had that rebate policy of refunding rental fee (minus taxes and other fees) towards buying a refurbished unit from them within the time limit, 6 months I think. So, we got like $800 discounted towards purchase. They had a few 2012 27G's on sale and that was the last year they had that model, we thought it fit us 2 adults, and 2-3 dogs, 28'-4" and on the V10 E-450 chasis, I wanted the V-10 power to get up the big mountains here to get out of the Phx valley. Plan on 9-10 mpg...lol
Like all the posts here, skip the CA extended warranties, just put that money aside for future repairs, which you will have.
I skipped getting them to install an awning for the extra ~$1100, I thought I could do it cheaper later, but found out that was an excellent price back then.
