Sorry, I know this topic has been covered many times, however when I did a search, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.I am looking at a new Tiffin Phaeton 42lh and a dealer has one with the colors and options my wife and I want. The dealer is about 135 miles from me and I have no experience with them at all. I have emailed back and forth with one of the salesman this week and plan on driving up to see coach on Saturday.My questions are:Is 30% off sticker still the number I should be looking For?Anybody have experience with RV Corral in Eugene, Or., that they would be willing to share?Is there any place to find out trade in values on my current Moho?When I bought my current Moho (2007 Allegro bus), I didn't put any money down, is that still an option?Is current interest rates running around 4 to 5%?Thanks in advance and any other advice would be appreciated.

NADA guides for RV values will give you some general idea what your '07 bus is worth. Keep in mind that most dealers will want to offer wholesale or less on your trade in. The 28-30% you seek to negotiate off the MSRP of the new coach is probably a moot point if you are trading since the only figure that matters is the difference you will have to pay.

Yep. So true. Financing is another profit center for the dealer. Get yourself pre approved (not pre-qualified) before you land on the dealerslot. That will give you some horsepower. That way the dealer knows you are serious.

No experience with that dealer but two others in the same area I made offers about 30 % under sticker and was told no way .. We left and thought they would call us but never heard back .. Same thing happened years ago in Portland when I bought a 5er new they offered about 15% I countered at 30 and they laughed. I left .. I'm sure others have had better luck but for some reason with no sales tax my experience with Oregon dealers is not stellar.When I did buy a used mh I bought with a grand down to show "sincerity " and the dealer beat the rate the cu offered me by a bunch.. 3.75 a year ago.

My experience says about 26% maybe a tad more is the best you can do on a new Tiffin. We were able to get just a little below that 4% interest rate threshold, but credit worthiness is very important. We sure do love our Phaeton compared to our previous coaches and wish we would have bought the Tiffin first !

The RV corral folks are friendly but are very rigid on their pricing. I tried to negotiate a deal on a 2013 Sightseer (now last year's model). They were stuck on about 12% reduction and would not budge.

Good Luck. Hope they are more reasonable with you.

Thanks everybody for your comments.
I am just trying to learn from others experiences. That way I can kind of know what to expect. When I buy a car there is a lot of info that is available, so I know about what a dealer paid and what to expect for my trade. It helps to level the field. When one is buying a RV, that same info is not available and really places the buyer at a disadvantage. The only info out there that I can find is NADA and forums like this one, where we can learn from each other.
Like everybody else, I am just trying to get the best bang for my buck.

One thing to keep in mind is how far away you are for service. Do you have someone close who can/will do warrany service on units they didn't sell. How often are you willing to make the trip especially in the winter.

When you go to pick up the new unit will you be prepared to take your old unit back home if the unit or the walk through is not satisfactory when you pick it up.

We only have had two units. The first was from a small dealer close to us. Problem is he didn't have anything we wanted the second time. Went about a hundred miles away for the second one from a big national dealer. Would not to that again. Next time we would go South and plan on making the dealer hold up their end.
