I live close to PPL (houston) - i go there for parts and to look around. ALL of the units is consigned, it would seem to me that you should be able to work with or talk directly to the seller.
I didn't buy from PPL, but i know folks who have, everyone says the experience was good.
I almost bought from MotorHome Specialist - and was very impressed (they only reason i mention them is because they are also in texas) - http://www.mhsrv.com
unless the earnest money is completely refundable i wouldn't even think of giving anyone $ w/out having seen a coach much less driven it.
